Outdoor Learning

At our school, we believe that some of the most meaningful learning happens beyond the classroom walls. Our outdoor spaces are vibrant, inspiring places where children can explore, create, and discover the world around them.

We are fortunate to have a large school garden, a beautiful Forest School area, and extensive sports fields, giving every child the chance to learn through nature, play, and physical activity. Whether planting seeds and watching them grow, building dens and exploring wildlife, or enjoying team games on the field, our children are encouraged to be curious, confident, and active learners.

We are also proud of our dedicated Eco-Council, who play an active role in caring for and improving our outdoor spaces. They are full of ideas to increase biodiversity on site and work together to make our school a greener, more sustainable place. Their enthusiasm and leadership help inspire the whole school community to look after our environment and celebrate the natural world around us.

Outdoor learning is a valued part of everyday life here. It supports wellbeing, develops teamwork and resilience, and nurtures a lifelong love of the outdoors — helping every child to grow, explore, and thrive.
