At Barwick and Stoford CP School, we follow the Somerset 'Awareness, Mystery, Values' scheme.

We promote inclusivity and tolerance of all faiths and we teach independent thinking skills as well as key knowledge for the required learning about different faiths.

We teach R.E. weekly across the whole school and evidence learning through our 'Learning Ledgers.' This enables in-depth discussions to be held around complex religious theories as well as learning key stories from different faiths.

Although we are not a Church School, we have close links with St Mary Magdalene, our Parish Church, and conduct many celebrations there as a whole school and with our community such as Harvest Festival, Christmas and Easter.

Parents/carers have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of RE lessons.
